There are numerous places of special interest locally, including Stratfield Saye House (home of the Duke of Wellington), Windsor Castle, Vyne House, and the Roman Remains at Silchester. There’s a great family day out at the nearby Wellington Riding School and some excellent local golf courses. The sporting spectator will find that venues such as Lords, Twickenham and the racecourses at Ascot and Newbury are all within easy reach.
